Grinding and Polishing

The grinding capabilities at Astro will complete the job to your exact specifications.  We have the ability to maintain tight tolerances before and after the plating process, giving you the customer, the confidence your job will be completed precisely to your specifications.  Our grinders are capable of holding a .0002 tolerance. And with 100 years of combined experience from our 5 operators we have no problem hitting that tolerance.  No matter how extensive our capabilities, it is the dedication and expertise of the people who work for Astro Industries, Inc. that make the most critical difference. Our polishers are able to achieve a 2-3 Ra, for an almost mirror-like finish. Our wide range of equipment can enhance the  finish on the variety of parts. Our polishing machines handle up to 27 feet with a diameter of 40 inches.  Whether your job requires a 2-3 Ra finish or a sandblasted 200 Ra finish, Astro can customize the job to your requirements. Our equipment  allows us to accommodate your needs and complete the job from start to finish all under one roof.
