Environment
Our plant houses a testing lab which enables us to test our plating baths daily to ensure peak performance. And, we have an important member of our lab staff who does the testing of our waste streams to ensure compliance with all EPA Guidelines. All waste streams are tested and treated for content of heavy metals on a daily basis before being released into the Metropolitan Sewage District. We take measures to ensure that our facility is in complete compliance with DNR and EPA water and air emission control standards at all times.
Astro has achieved numerous environmental awards including the Clean Bay Backer Award and the Governor's Award for Hazardous Waste Reduction.
